The gooseberry (RIBES UVA-CRISPA) is a species of Ribes. It is native to Europe, northwestern Africa, west, south and southeast Asia. Gooseberry bushes produce an edible fruit and are grown on both a commercial and domestic basis. Fruits of this Plant are Goose Berry and used as it is as well as Dried. Goose Berry have medicinal properties and thus widely used in Indian Traditional Herbal Medicines. Goose Berries are good Source of Vitamin C.
